Plateau diesel generator set
Due to the large environmental differences between the plateau area and the plain area, the use of diesel generator sets will be different. 1. Because the air pressure in the plateau area is low, the air is thin, and the oxygen content is small, especially for the naturally aspirated diesel engine, the combustion conditions are worsened due to the lack of air intake, so that the diesel engine cannot use the original standard calibration power. Therefore, in the long-term use of the plateau, the fuel supply should be appropriately reduced according to the local altitude. Considering the tendency of ignition to be delayed under plateau conditions, in order to improve the operating economy of diesel generator sets, it is generally recommended that the fuel supply advance angle of naturally aspirated diesel engines should be appropriately advanced.
2. With the increase of altitude, the ambient temperature is also lower than that in the plain area. Generally, the ambient temperature will drop by about 0.6°C for every 1000 meters of increase. In addition, due to the thin air in the plateau, the starting performance of diesel generator sets is higher than that of diesel generators. The plain area is poor. When using it, the user should choose an auxiliary starting method corresponding to low temperature starting.
3. Due to the increase of altitude, the boiling point of water decreases, the wind pressure of cooling air and the quality of cooling air are reduced, and the increase of heat per kilowatt per unit time, so the heat dissipation condition of the cooling system is worse than that of the plain. Generally, it is not suitable to use an open cooling cycle in high altitude areas, and a pressurized closed cooling system can be used to advance the boiling point of the coolant when used at high altitudes.
